2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid

As part of the sixth generation of Honda’s best-selling utility vehicle, the 2025 CR-V Hybrid brings together one of America’s most compact crossovers and advanced fuel-saving technology. Its well-received styling captures the automaker’s latest design, dominated by a confident front end and strong body lines. But there’s more to this model than just looks; it has a comfortable cabin that offers plenty of space for five and a cargo area suitable for groceries, sports gear, and everything in between. What attracts buyers to the CR-V Hybrid is, of course, its superior fuel economy: it achieves up to 43 miles per gallon, a rating once reserved for subcompact economy cars.

The value equation is even greater, since Honda Service Pass complimentary standard factory-scheduled maintenance is in effect for the first two years or 24,000 miles. This money-saving plan covers oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and multipoint inspections.

Trims and Powertrain

Honda offers the CR-V Hybrid in three trim levels: Sport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring. They all have the same hybrid-electric powertrain, which puts out a robust 204 horsepower thanks to its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and dual motors. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard with the Sport and Sport-L, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional and included with the Sport Touring. Both drivetrains are controlled through an electronic continuously variable transmission (E-CVT).

The CR-V Hybrid’s convenience is reinforced by 39.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, which expands to 76.5 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded flat. Its 1,000-pound towing capacity is enough to pull a lightweight trailer. The EPA has determined fuel economy ratings of 43 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway for the FWD version, which changes to 40 mpg in local traffic and 34 mpg highway with AWD.

Standard Features

With standard features like a power moonroof, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a ten-way power driver's seat, the Sport is far from an entry-level edition. It also gets fabric upholstery, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, a 7-inch digital instrument display, rear privacy glass, heated power side mirrors with integrated turn indicators, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, four USB ports (two per row), and 18-inch wheels.

The Sport L builds on the Sport with leather seating surfaces, a power tailgate, a driver's position memory system, a four-way power front passenger seat, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Sport Touring has more upscale touches, like a heated steering wheel, a hands-free tailgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and 19-inch wheels. Refer to the sections that follow for details on additional safety and multimedia features for the higher trims.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Driver confidence comes from Honda Sensing, a comprehensive group of advanced driver aids installed on all trims. The included technologies are forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a cross-traffic monitor, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, a driver attention monitor, rear seat reminder, and automatic high beams. The Sport-L and Sport Touring also have front and rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control (for collision advance at speeds below 6 mph). Every CR-V Hybrid also has multiple airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and a multi-angle rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Everyone riding in the 2025 CR-V Hybrid will stay informed and entertained through a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system on the Sport, which upgrades to a 9-inch screen in the Sport-L and Sport Touring. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connect wirelessly on the Sport-L and Sport Touring but must be manually plugged in on the Sport. Bluetooth, a text messaging assistant, and access to the HondaLink smartphone app come standard on all trims; the two higher trims add SiriusXM satellite radio. There are six speakers in the Sport and eight in the Sport-L, but the top-of-the-line Sport Touring is loaded with a 12-speaker Bose setup. Navigation and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and HondaLink subscription services are the exclusive domain of the Sport Touring.
