2024 Honda CR-V
The 2024 CR-V exemplifies the compact crossover class, as it caters to a range of lifestyles with its cut-above-the-rest versatility and well-regarded Honda dependability. Since its debut in 1995, this five-passenger stalwart has consistently risen above the competition and more than met the needs of its eager buyers. Now in its sixth generation, the CR-V continues to thrive in this bustling segment. Just as the outgoing version did, the 2024 CR-V comes with Honda Service Pass, a 2-year/24,000-mile complimentary maintenance plan that covers routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and multipoint inspections.

Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Economy
The 2024 CR-V is marketed in three trims: LX, EX, and EX-L. (There’s a gas-electric hybrid version as
well, but we look at that model separately.) A turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine generating
190 hp and 179 lb.-ft. of torque joins a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to form the
powertrain. Front-wheel drive is standard, but most drivers around here will prefer the available
all-wheel drivetrain. The ’24 CR-V can do some minor towing with a maximum capacity of 1,500
pounds.
Fuel efficiency is another core aspect of this best-seller’s appeal. According to EPA
estimates, the FWD versions return 28 mpg around town and 34 mpg on the highway, while those with AWD
manage 27 city/32 highway.
Notable Amenities
Each ’24 CR-V has a host of significant features, the base LX notwithstanding. This entry-level trim boasts remote keyless entry, auto-on/off LED headlights, LED taillights, push-button start, automatic climate control, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, and a 60/40-split rear seatback with a foldable center armrest. The EX introduces dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats with power adjustments for the driver, heated outside mirrors, a moonroof, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, and three USB-C charging ports. The high-end EX-L furthers the experience with leather upholstery, wireless phone charging, a power tailgate, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, position memory for the driver’s seat, and a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat.
Active Driving Aids
The Honda Sensing suite of safety technologies is installed on all trims. This bundle of advanced driving aids encompasses forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, a driver attention monitor, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, automatic high beams, and a rear seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert joins the list at the EX level, while the EX-L goes a step further with front and rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control.
Multimedia and Connectivity
The default infotainment setup consists of a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and a four-speaker sound system. The EX advances the sonic experience with two additional speakers, while the EX-L takes things up a notch with a superior eight-speaker audio unit. The EX-L gets even more upgrades: a 9-inch touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and HD radio. HondaLink remote vehicle services are standard across the board as well.
