2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid
The Honda CR-V has been the top-selling CUV (crossover utility vehicle) in America for over 25 years
thanks to its reliability, high-quality handling, and value-packed feature sets. The gas-electric hybrid
variant carries on the original CR-V’s legacy with the added appeal of less reliance on fossil fuel
consumption.
Fresh off last year’s major redesign, the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid makes waves this time around with an
all-new Sport-L trim level, slotting between the Sport and Sport Touring. This high-personality trim has
blacked-out wheels, gloss-black accents, rectangular exhaust finishers, and leather-trimmed seats with
contrast stitching.

Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Economy
As mentioned, Honda has expanded the CR-V Hybrid lineup to three trims – Sport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring – by adding a new mid-grade choice. Their powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gas engine, two electric motors (one to start the engine and one to accelerate from a complete stop), and an E-CVT (electronically continuously variable transmission). Acceleration comes easy with up to 204 horsepower and 247 lb.-ft. of torque. Fuel efficiency is, of course, a major appeal of this model; the EPA has officially rated the CR-V Hybrid to return 43 mpg city/36 mpg highway with FWD, and 40 city/34 highway with AWD. Honda’s Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System is available on the Sport and Sport-L and standard on the Sport Touring.
Standard Amenities
The base Sport comes well-appointed with black cloth upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear-seat HVAC ducts, three USB-C charging ports (one in front, two in the second row), a 7-inch digital instrument cluster that displays trip information, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a power moonroof, a 10-way power driver’s seat, LED cargo lights, and 12V power outlets (front and rear cargo area). Plus, Honda’s Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock allows drivers to access vehicle controls without taking the key fob out of their pocket.
Active Driving Aids
Every ‘24 CR-V Hybrid comes loaded with Honda Sensing safety features and driving aids. Even at the Sport trim level, the following technologies are standard: adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, a driver attention monitor, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, a cross-traffic monitor, a multi-angle rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines, rear seat reminder, and systems for collision mitigation braking, blind spot information, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, and road departure mitigation. Low-speed braking and parking sensors (front/rear) appear on the two higher trims.
Multimedia and Connectivity
The Sport trim’s infotainment array has a 7-inch color touchscreen and standard plug-in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. All trims get SMS text messaging, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and audio streaming, a radio data system, and HondaLink access. The Sport-L and Sport Touring expand to a 9-inch color touchscreen and add a volume knob, HD Radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, customizable feature settings, and smart shortcuts. The cordless amenities increase at this level, too, courtesy of a wireless phone charger and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto wireless integration. The Sport Touring alone is upgraded with a Bose sound system with 12 speakers and a subwoofer, Wi-Fi capability, HondaLink subscription services, and Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation with voice recognition and Honda HD Digital Traffic.
