2025 Honda Civic Sedan

For more than five decades now, the Civic has been a mainstay on America’s roads. Now, the 2025 Honda Civic Sedan is back with the same dependability and ample features, along with fresh styling. With newly upgraded headlamps, wide frame, and revised bumper, this ever-popular four-door shows off a renewed appearance that gives it a commanding presence. Darker taillights, an updated grille design, and a more prominent front fascia add an aggressive element to its appearance. The option for a gas-electric powertrain has been brought back to the Civic this model year, but on this page we’ll concentrate on the conventional petrol-only version (please see our separate overview on the 2025 Honda Civic Sedan Hybrid).

With a 14.8 cubic-foot trunk and 99 cubic feet of passenger room, the Civic Sedan allows passengers to spread out in comfort and take what they need with them. For extra value, Honda includes a complimentary 2-year/24,000-mile scheduled maintenance package that covers tire rotations, multipoint inspections, and oil changes over that period.

Trims and Powertrains

The 2025 Civic Sedan is presented in two trim packages: LX and Sport. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 150 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) sends power to the front wheels; the higher-cost Sport trim is equipped with paddle shifters to increase driver satisfaction. A drive mode selector adds a touch of customization, with Normal and Econ modes for both trims and an additional mode called Sport for the trim of the same name. The EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings for the LX are 32 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. The Sport is rated at 31 city/39 highway.

Standard Features

The LX has cloth upholstery with manually adjustable front seats, a 7-inch driver display, two USB ports, one 12-volt power outlet, push-button ignition, automatic climate control, LED headlights, power side mirrors, 16-inch wheels, and a one-piece fold-down rear seatback to increase cargo space from the trunk. The Sport adds remote start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, the Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock system, a rear-seat center armrest with beverage holders, heated power exterior mirrors, a chrome exhaust finisher, and 18-inch gloss-black alloy wheels.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Honda supplies the Sensing system of safety and driver-assist features with every 2025 Civic Sedan. These advanced technologies consist of automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control and low-speed follow, lane departure warning, a rearview monitor, traffic jam assist, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, driver drowsiness monitoring, and traffic sign recognition. The Sport also gets a rear cross-traffic monitor and blind-spot warning.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Both 2025 Civic Sedan trims have an infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth Android Auto, Alexa built-in, Apple CarPlay, and HondaLink. The sound system in the LX has four speakers and 160 watts of power, while the Sport gets eight speakers and 180 watts.
