2026 Honda
Odyssey

The minivan may have had its heyday decades ago, but that doesn’t mean this vehicle type is dead and gone. In the case of the Honda Odyssey, the family-oriented passenger van couldn’t be more alive. It’s as modern and stylish as ever and packed with smart features that parents especially appreciate, including Honda’s Magic Slide seats and the CabinTalk P.A. system. And, since it’s a Honda, you know that it’s been built to last, with a reliable V6 engine under the hood. The spacious three-row interior fits up to eight passengers in total comfort, but it can also be configured to accommodate extra cargo when there are some unoccupied seats. A far cry from the outdated minivans of decades ago, the Odyssey boasts amenities like heated leather-clad front seats and a power-sliding moonroof on the entry-level trim, progressing to heated and ventilated front seats with perforated leather upholstery on the highest trim, the aptly named Elite. Of course, the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety features comes standard, as does a Honda Service Pass, which covers the vehicle’s first oil change and tire rotation.

Trims and Powertrain

The four trim packages for the 2026 Odyssey are the EX-L, Sport, Touring, and Elite. As we mentioned, they have a 3.5-liter V6; it makes 280 horsepower and forms the powertrain with a ten-speed automatic transmission with shift-by-wire and paddle shifters. All trims have a front-wheel drivetrain and the ability to pull a trailer weighing no more than 3,500 pounds. The total available cargo area in the Odyssey with only the front row occupied is 158 cubic feet. The EPA-estimated fuel economy is the same across the board: 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.

We’ve already mentioned that the base EX-L is stocked with heated front seats, leather upholstery, and a power moonroof. It also has a 12-way power-adjustable seat for the driver, an 8-way power-adjustable passenger’s seat, Magic Slide second-row seats, and a 60/40-split folding third-row Magic Seat. The long roster of amenities continues with power-sliding side doors, proximity keyless entry, wireless device charging, four USB ports, tri-zone automatic cabin temperature control (with separate controls for the middle row, plus humidity control and a cabin air filter), an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power tailgate, auto-on/off LED headlights, LED fog lights and taillights, push-button ignition, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, middle-row sunshades, a 7-inch digital instrument display, rear privacy glass, heated power-adjustable exterior mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Sport-L adds style with leather upholstery in black with red stitching, red ambient LED cabin lighting, a pair of USB ports for the third row, and 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels. The Touring starts with the EX-L’s features and caters its additions to families with kids, with the CabinTalk P.A. system, a rear-seat entertainment system, CabinWatch interior monitoring, and third-row sunshades. The wheels are upgraded to 19-inch alloys. The Elite takes things even further with perforated leather upholstery (first and second rows), heated and ventilated seats in the front row, a heated steering wheel, a hands-free tailgate, power-folding side mirrors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
