2024 Honda HR-V
The 2024 HR-V surpasses its rivals in the subcompact crossover class with a combination of traits, from that legendary Honda reliability to a long list of desirable standard equipment. Even though it’s Honda’s smallest crossover, the ’24 HR-V feels far from entry-level – it’s a natural pick for anyone looking in this segment. It comes with an array of first-class features such as a sleek 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a standard array of advanced driving aids, and avant-garde honeycomb detailing for an extra dose of style. Plus, despite being on the small end of the crossover spectrum, the ’24 HR-V supplies a great deal of functional space, accommodating up to 55.1 cubic feet of cargo.

Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Economy
Honda sells the ’24 HR-V in three trims: LX, Sport, and EX-L. Each is appointed a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine whisking 158 hp; it pairs up with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive is standard, but most buyers will opt for the available all-wheel drive. As always, the HR-V is quite fuel efficient, too, returning an EPA-estimated 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway with FWD and 25 city/30 highway with AWD.
Trim-Specific Equipment
The base LX has a host of in-demand amenities, like auto-on/off LED headlights, single-zone automatic
climate control, power windows with driver’s one-touch auto-up/down, push-button start, a 7-inch driver
information display, three USB ports (one for data and two for charging), and a 60/40-split folding rear
seatback. The Sport shows off a more distinct grille design and gains a chrome-tipped exhaust, rear
privacy glass, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, illuminated vanity mirrors, a front-passenger
window with one-touch auto-up/down, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift
knob.
While the EX-L does not have the exclusive grille and chrome exhaust seen on the Sport
trim, it adds heated side mirrors, a moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming
rearview mirror, ambient interior lighting, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, leather upholstery, and
wireless phone charging.
Active Safety Features
The Honda Sensing suite of advanced driving aids is standard in the 2024 HR-V, providing forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, automatic high beams, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, traffic jam assist, and traffic sign recognition. The Sport and EX-L are both eligible for the available blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. The EX-L gets standard low-speed braking control and front and rear parking sensors.
Multimedia and Entertainment
The basic infotainment system in the latest HR-V is composed of a 7-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), Bluetooth, and a four-speaker audio system. The sound situation is amplified in the Sport thanks to its six-speaker setup, but if you want to enjoy the highest-quality listening experience, go for the EX-L and its eight-speaker sound system. This top trim also gets a 9-inch touchscreen, HD radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, and wireless smartphone connect.
